Does anyone know if these will be released on CD/12"? How do the releases of the Peel Sessions go, anyway? Does J.P. have the rights to release it, or do the artists retain the rights? This is excellent music and should really be available on a wide format so that everyone can enjoy them without second, third, fourth generation taping decomposition... Andrew

I'm not sure how many Peel sessions Rich has done, but the first one was comprised of tracks that have all been released elsewhere. The first session tracks were; _Blue Calx_ (Rephlex/ART comp and _SAW2_) _Lumineph_ (sp? - this is from either _J4_ or J5_ - I forget) _Cunt_ (from one of the _TEX_ compilations) _Quixote_ (from _Surfing on Sine Waves_ although there is some extra heavily-reverbed vocal stuff added to the beginning and end of the track) _We have Arrived - TTQ mix_ (from the PCP 12") I think a Peel session release is pretty unlikely - can't see RDJ going for it. And Strange Fruit would have to license back the tracks from the respective publishers above.

Ah - the old "AFX for the masses" thread. I thought this died some time ago. || [CiM] || s.walley@uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

There is a second Aphex peel session broadcast on 14th April 1995. The track titles are: untitled, untitled, untitled and untitled. Who else has the Black Dog session and rates it as somne of their best work? For a long time I have regarded the LFO session as the finest thing they've done. adam

Yes, thanks for the info - I can at least put two titles on the tape inlay now. I knew the second one was from SAW2, but never actually got around to buying Donkey Rhubarb. Another of those inexplicable non-purchases. To be honest I hadn't listened to this for a long time. adam
