I was watching _Fashion File_, one of many God-awful American fashion programs
on the e! channel, when who did I see modeling new fashions [from a designer
whose name I've regrettfully forgotten]? Goldie.
At first I couldn't tell if our gold-toothed d+b pal was really the tall guy on
the runway. But there was an actual 15-second sound bite with 'producer'
Goldie. Unfortuantely, he wasn't gabbing about music, but, rather, the
resurgance of style in London youth culture. It was very odd seeing Goldie on
[American] television + I wanted to share the oddness with you. [Can you
imagine Richie James modeling clothes for Anna Sui?]
On a totally unrelated note, I fell in love [again] with two old albums Friday
nght during a 13 hour late night drive through Texas + Louisiana. The CDs in
question were Woob's 1194 and Another Fine Day's Life Before Land. What are Mr.
Green + our penguin friends up to? Especially Green; his music was absolutely
awe inspiring coupled with the backwoods landscape of central Louisiana. I'm in
love again!
