I bought this EP, and i've played it a few times and what strikes me is not any similarity to Autechre, which apart from some harsh percussion, i think it has slim resemblance, but that some of it is quite un-eventful. That maybe slightly harsh, but i thought Prowl sounded like 'The residents' gone techno (without vocals), meeting the autechre's drum machine headon, unfortunately it seems very drawn out, lacking the sublety and build-up that could make it a fine track. Lebanon and Brieflei seem to be the winners, and is what i'd expect from a warp release at the moment, the rhythms sound almost typically AI/RAC, the effects build the tracks, and for my mind makes them slightly more dance orrientated. I think it'll need some more time to sink in. Nick.
