Sandoz: Every Man Got Dreaming I had read on one of these lists that the latest Sandoz was bad... after I'd already ordered it =:-0 My head is spinning: it's great! The rhythms, the rhythms, the jazz samples, the vocoder! Just goes to show you, you can't believe everything you read. I tried to like it, but I just couldn't manage it. The four-four pounding and housy high hats were just too much. It's repetitive far beyond the point of monotony. Don't even think about buying this record until you've got the first two. I wouldn't recommend thinking about it even after that.

My main complaint about Sandoz, _Every Man Got Dreaming_ is that it is too similar to his other recent releases (under his own name Richard H. Kirk, other Sandoz, Electronic Eye, the last Sweet Exorcist, and 12" singles on the Alphaphone label). It is still a fine piece of work, but I wouldn't recommend this as an introduction to Sandoz or RHKirk's work in general. A new Sandoz CD is released in about 2 weeks. It is called _Dark Continent_ and features the six tracks from the vinyl-only EP of the same name (released between the 1st & 2nd CDs), plus a few more tracks which I don't recognize, and which are probably unreleased. --Mark Kolmar On Thu, 23 May 1996, Miles Egan wrote:

Really? wow. Too bad. I personally think RHK is one of the best electronic musicians there ever was. I love all 3 Sandoz disks...my fav is the second one though. On Thu, 23 May 1996, Miles Egan wrote:
