I can totally recommend the Slack Dog 12" on Lo Recordings. As
mentioned before, the Vibert mix is jazzy, with characteristic
basslines wavering nervously in and out of tune. What makes this
track stand out, however, is his approach to the drum 'n' bass
sound: Luke's clattering style of beats is in evidence, but he uses
BRUSHES instead of hard hits - softening the overall tone: like drum
'n' bass heard through through a duvet (though I can't say I've
tried this). This also turns up on the Collaborations cd. Purchase
if you can track it down.
