Off And Gone: Everest Harthouse HH1026-2 06:53 Gods Have Gone 07:18 Everest 11:38 Kopli 08:49 Sprinkle 05:41 Shasta 09:15 My God 07:50 Sigma Receptor 07:15 Europia 08:13 Phosphanes ye gads, how come nobody has posted about this yet? i'm sure it's been out for a while. anyway, just incredible, wonderful, complicated, neural, trancey IDM stuff. intricate little percussion riffs orbiting ethereal otherworldy sounds. it grooves like a mother. sorta detroity, but that's just a point of departure. anyway, i've run out of superlatives, so i guess that's the end of this review. -- Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://www.cyborganic.com/bass-kittens/

Ya, Phil and Dan sure are amazing aren't they....You might want to check out some of their other releases, under various pseudonyms: Outer Sanctum Compilation "Frequencies from the Edge of the Tektonik Plate" This is a compilation of Vancouver idm/acid/ambient artist, with Dan getting his grubby paws in on most of the tracks...it's got a very typical "Vancouver" sound to it, very wet, acidically ambient trippy sound. Released early 93 or there abouts and still doesn't sound dated...saddly overlooked by most Vancouverites...I believ Odyssey Imports in here in Van has the odd copy... FloatPoint "Beam Error" on I belive ESP... Much like "Everest"...really good, more of the same stylee...hard to find, but was really popular in Japan. Veumorph "In Expectancy of Monumental Awe" Dan's solo project on Silent and one of my favorite ambient releases of 95. Very textural, with deep ambient landscapes overwashed by Dan's typical slightly off key meanderings, punctuated by some pleasant acid/percussion lines... Odyssey Imports (604)669-6644 Hope that helps.......q (in no way affiliated, just immensly impressed :) When they hear of the way, The Highest minds practice it; The average minds think about it And try it now and then; The lowest minds laugh at it. If they did not laugh at it, It would not be the way. - Lao-tse - ( From "The Tao of Pooh" )

I'm off to Detroit for the "Love From Beyond" party...I'll have net access so if IDM goes into a tail spin I'll wrestle controls (a ha ha ha!) back from auto-pilot. If you're going to the gig, I'll be wearing my IDM t-shirt, say hellos! Teep
