I was reading a magazine about a SLAB - Rampant Prankster (Hydrogen Duke/uk). Has anyone heard this, it was described to sound alot like Chemical Brothers with breaks, and 303. It's a double pack with two Carl Cox remixes. I also read a DJ list from Autechre, it had an item I have never heard of: Boards of Canada - Twoism. ? I've liked a BANDULU track here and there, has anyone heard the new one? Just out of Curiosity. +------------------------+ William L Samuels wls@U.Arizona.EDU +------------------------+

I will personally attest that this is the most badass release ever slapped on a slab in a long time. Hydrogen Dukebox has put out some of the best stuff I've ever heard...Pick up the Monkey Mafia remix while you're at it!! khannan suntharam kxs28972@bayou.uh.edu --------------------- Please support the Joyrex Liberation Front.

Couldn't find a reply to this so thought i would. Slab are Lol Hammond (Drum Club) and Nina Walsh (Sabrettes). they've had three singles released by Hydrogen Dukebox : lidpopper, atomsmasher and rampant prankster which have been remixed by Technova, Weatherall and Carl Cox respectively. Today sees the UK release of Freaky Speed which as far as i know is a collection of the singles and maybe some new remixes (a monkey mafia remix and more?) It was in mixmag update last week that the US release of this album will be by Sm:)e but theres problems with teh album cover (depicting a line of white powder and a razor blade) which has to be changed before they'll release it. I recommend all the slab stuff. The Rampant stuff does sound quite chem bros. with more 303 and the otehr two songs are good acid stompers. Hydrogen dukebox can be found at obsolete, but is out of date a little. http://www.obsolete.com/HDB/ cheers martin
