From what I know, these are the ones behind the Clatterbox (Clear), ja? A fine pack of tunes, how does that project compare, stylistically, with their other stuff? How much "other stuff" do they have? Do they play live alot? I wasn't aware that they were at all prolific, so let's have some more info..

Hmm, I was under the impression that it was the Horn who was behind the Clatterbox record. I'm sure I saw a picture of him in an article about Clatterbox. So come on kids, what's the answer? Anyways, Jak & Stepper have a little stuff on the Theory of Evolution Compilation, other than that I've seen nothing. So when is that EP arriving? Anyone? anyone? Cheers Andrew C.

One of Jak'n' Stepper is the Horn, the other guy is Clatterbox. They are original members of the Evolution/Universal Language crew. When I saw J & S live last year in Sheffield (april) and EC1 London (August) they were on the same bill as Wish Mountain, Jedi Knights etc. etc. They played some of the most amusing cheesy and catchy techno ever! It had the irony of Clatterbox, only more so. The only recorded track I've heard by them is 'Senda' on the 'theory of evolution' album. I know also that they did an EP called 'music for Ansaphones and computer games. What I want to know is, does anyone have this EP? And they must be releasing something on the Universal Language imprint because all the other evolution guys have, but when? Richard
