"LOWLANDS TRAX": DUTCH HOUSE COMPILATION
With the name and fame of Dutch dance steadily rising, a new
series of compilations albums that will highlight the width and
breadth of dance music from The Netherlands in all its variety
might be a smart idea. Jupilon, one of the biggest record
companies/distributors of independent dance product in
Holland, have just announced the upcoming release of
"Lowlands Trax", the first in a series of compilations that will
market Dutch dance as an innovative force.
"Due to both the high quality ... and the indredible media
interest in the Dutch Underground music scene at present, we
feel that this release is of high importance ... and is a major
priority product that proves the Dutch scene isn't just happy
house music," the press release states. To regular visitors of
these pages, this will come as no surprise.
"Lowlands Trax" will feature tracks by a generous helping of
Holland's top names, like Steve Rachmad, Jark Prongo (= DJ
Zki & Dobre), Orlando Voorn, DJ Marcello, Acid Junkies,
Quazar, Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia and Max 404. Relative
newcomers are Angelo, Toxic Waste and Realtime/Goud
Productions.
The contributing labels are as varied as the music compiled
on "Lowlands Trax", their independent distribution linking
them. Labels involved are 100% Pure, Prime, Touche, Pssst,
Djax Up, Lucid, Emergency Broadcast and Beam Me Up.
"Lowlands Trax" is compiled by Gert van Veen, one of
Holland's house originators and driving force behind Quazar,
one of the very first international dance acts to bring their
music to the stage. The compilation will hit the streets by early
June.
