I've been involved in this really cool CDROM project. Unfortunately at the moment it only runs on Windows 3.1, but there's probably a few of you out there who can use it. It's called SPIN CONTROL, from Mixman. You can remix tracks on the fly with an intuitive graphical user interface. The music is 8 exclusive tracks by San Francisco electronic artists: Seraphim Odyssey - Feel The Pressure Freaky Chakra - Trepidations In Love Bassbin Twins - Hell Saharafish - Little Bells (this is actually Dubtribe in disguise) Bass Kittens - Heartbreak Factory Mephisto Odyssey - Transketch Deluxe - Black Wax Robbers Of Antiquity - Phosphene Dream The full CDROM version features full audio cuts as well as the interactive version. There's also a version of the CD with just the audio tracks. You can download a demo (it's the Seraphim Odyssey track) or order at http://www.mixman.com And for those of you in the Bay Area, there's going to be a feature on it on some kids TV show - Saturday 4/27, 10 AM, Channel 4 (KRON). I'll be on screen, giving an interview and demoing the software. It's probably going to look really stupid, but what can I say, I have no inhibitions when there's a camera pointed at me. :) -- Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://www.cyborganic.com/bass-kittens/

Looks real good, from what i've seen on the web-site... unfortunately I run Windows 95. Maybe if a win 95 version gets released shortly i'll buy it. Ninja Tunes have a working demo available of their similar idea on some web-page and i'm lead to belive the technology can already be found on some of their released cds. Looks like Mixman, might have missed the boat or at the very least lost some of its thunder. I hope to see a win95 version soon. Regards, John
