Well, not exactly my friend. Off the top of my head: Original Score: The Killers Kiss The Killing Spartacus Some of Dr. Strangelove (I believe) 2001 (though not used) The Shining (I believe there was some original music in this) Full Metal Jacket There may also have been some original music in Barry Lyndon but the bulk of it was classical peices from the films period. And I can assure you with 100% certainty that Warners will not stand for Kubrick to pull out the dusty old records for the Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman film. /""'' /"'RESH Live and Direct from the G-Spot Orange County, California, USA

My list was a little incomplete: Kubrick Films Featuring an Original Score: Killers Kiss The Killing Paths of Glory Spartacus Lolita Dr. Strangelove Full Metal Jacket Partial Score: Barry Lyndon The Shining Whole or Partial Classical Score: 2001 (original score not used) Clockwork Orange Barry Lyndon The Shining Sorry, I just had to get it right though. It's the damn trainspotter in me... /""'' /"'RESH Live and Direct from the G-Spot Orange County, California, USA

A friend of mine reduced this AFX rumour to a pile of smouldering ashes earlier today. He pointed out quite frankly that Kubrick has ALWAYS used classical music in his movies...even the Walter Carlos stuff was classical (sortof) and so what would make him change his mind this time? ____ __,--- --.__ ,- ; . Kubrik and AFX *were* going to work together but the project fell apart, not due to anything between them but because Kubrik scrapped the project; apparently a recent film shared the same premise. Or maybe it was one in production. Who cares? Richard James will put out more good music when he is done with it, and I'm sure Kubrik will eventually make another fine film with a nice soundtrack. * einexile is waiting for akira kurosawa to team up with tricky *
