3rd Stone was the first Electrecord (201?) and 1.9.8.3 was ele202. 201 is a bit loopier like the electron industries 12"s, if I remember correctly, and 202is a bit more experimental 606 and delay pedal freakiness with a touch of Bola1 darkness. Unless theres a new one that I haven't seen. eric

AFAIK, the new one (maybe around a month or so old), *is* _3rd Stone from the Sun/Bontempi/Electrosmog_. The cat. # is ER 300, which promts me to believe it's their third release. I do remember seeing two different Electrecord 12"s previous to this one too, but they didn't grab me as much. ER 300, however, is a perfectly balanced meal of searing, treated highs and booty-quaking lows. *Very* filling. ;) - Matthew "I grew up thinking that techno music is actually something that you can't imagine. That is techno at its best. If you hear something that you'd never expect to hear - that's techno. If you hear something that kind of sounds like you've heard it before, then it's not techno." - Jeff Mills

I stand corrected! I knew they had a freaky numbering system going on, but I was at work and, well you know... 1.9.8.3 is ER100. I still think that 200 was the less-dynamic of the first two, but I'll go by the store tommorrow (since I've apparently been lagging) and see if I can get hipped to the new. eh onnow: Neil Young : Trans (Geffen)
