Noticing some chat here about Bristol's Third Eye Foundation, they've just announced a live date in London on 15 May at a new club called Scratch. Boymerang and Wagon Christ are also on the bill... Venue is the newly opened Spitz at 109 Commercial Street, Spitalfields Market, London E1. The club is a joint venture between Tony Morley of the Leaf label, and Jon Tye (Lo Recordings - the Extreme Possibilities people), and - erm, myself. Just thought you ought to know. I'd just like to use this opportunity to say what an excellent magazine The Wire is. It certainly is an adventure in modern music, and features everything from Laurie Anderson, Yoko Ono (!) and Bruce Gilbert to the Aphex Twin, K.H. Stockhausen, Xenakis, Future Sound of London, Main and LFO (and this is just a very small selection). Their review section usually contains a very wide selection of CDs, and is worth the price itself. The latest edition features an excellent (there's that word again) profile on the Mille Plateaux-label, including interviews with the boss of the label and Oval and Alec Empire. I am in no way associated with this magazine, I'm just a very happy reader. For those who'd like to expand their horizon, buy! For those who don't, keep on reading NME. /Oivind Idso/ "I am wrong, ergo I am not the one I think I am." -Bachelard

Well, some of us would like to expand their horizons - if they only could find the mentioned magazine in the place they live :(
