Did anyone else out there catch the article on Bill Laswell in the April,
1996 issue of Natural History? (the monthly journal of the American
Museum of Natural History) The article, "Playing the Sythesizer," is a
nice 3 pager, written by Mark Jacobson and gives an overview of Laswell's
"international work" and his ideas on "world music."
I realize that there may be one or two of you out there who may not
subscribe to Natural History (though I can't imagine what sort of hollow,
deprived lifestyle would lead to such a state of affairs...), I
therefore, somewhat hesitantly, offer to send it to you if you're a
laswellophile and must have it. I can snail mail a photocopy, fax it or
email it in a pictfile (will YOU be able to open it?) I'd be GLAD to do
this but don't quite know how I'll handle it if I get 80 requests for the
article.....
drop me some electrons and let me know .
