Grant cheque time, wahey! Off I went to my local store and purhcased B12 - Time Tourist (Warp) Jacob's Optical Stairway - Jacob's Optical Stairway Underworld - Second toughest in the infants Various - Art of Dance Various - Chicago All Stars (radikal fear comp.) Mystic Rhythm - Track Relaxer 4AM - Underwater Blues EP (Muzique Tropique - little Glasgow Label) T - Power - Police State there's quite a few more I can't remember at the mo' as I've not had a chance to listen to them all. Not surprising as I only took 'em home on wednesday. Time Tourist sounds nice so far, definite Detroit feel. What can I say about the Underworld album, very nice from hard almost trance tracks to that laidback vibe they also put over so well. One of the few bands that can really do vocals on a techno track and make it work. The radikal fear comp is a must buy for all DJ's out there and the rest of you as well, a definite bargain IMHO. Not had a chance to listen to Art of Dance comp fully yet but listened to the last track by Kenny Larkin, beatiful, but possibly not quite as good as Track Relaxer. I was almost in tears when my mate spun it at a little club we run in Paisley (same place as Club 69 - Muzik techno club of the year). So much muzik, yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh!!! 95 quid spent in a day, worth every penny. Ciao, Derek.
