It's important to distinguish between the many Princes. There's the embarrassment of recent years, in which mediocre albums and an increasingly weird persona have taken over. Then there's the albums from the 80's that turned the world on it's ear. Sometime someone should ask the techno boffins of today how many of them wore out a copy of '1999.' And the man still has it, though who knows when it will surface again commercially. Some of the Minneapolis subscribers to IDM (Chris? Rob?) have stories to tell of unannounced live gigs that w ere state of the art... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Kent Williams kent@inav.net (319) 338 6053 (home) (319) 626 6700 x 219 (work) (319) 626 3489 (fax)

I know it. Talk to me privately. If you can't see the FUNK connection between his work(as Prince), and Moodrings' "sopping the biscuit", you're full of shit! He just needs to find Wendy, Lisa, Dez, Andre, Brown Mark & Dr. Fink, and MPLS will have themselves a proper "live IDM" band. Derek .02 of 1.00

Agreed with this one, mate. Prince, or O-L-> as he prefers to be called these days, has hit on quite a dry spell. He's doing nothing new musically and is trying to recapture the sounds of the glory days. He should ditch all the lesbians and hangers on and start an ambient side project. -Fresh <-wiping the "slave" eyeliner off my face...
