Saw a copy of this 4-disker today and was wondering what people thought of it. It seems to have a lot of the classic Detroit-o-philic bands present (BDP, Kirk deG.) as well as some domestic flavor. Is this a compilation of the "soft" (tonalities/textures, explorations) idm variety, or is it down with the dancefloor experimenters? Where does it fall in the I<->D continuum of idm? eric

Just get it, and ask questions later. :) Almost every track is a classic, from the soft to the hard. Most of the tracks, I'd say, are medium hard - beaty, but not overly-aggressive. The hardest tracks come from Future/Past, but are very innovative in their solidity. ;) Worth it for the three Balil tracks *alone*. - Matthew "I grew up thinking that techno music is actually something that you can't imagine.
