How come I don't recall anoybody reviewing Clatterbox on Clear [CLR412]? (yeah, I know, maybe I should write a review. I will one of these days) Come to think of it ... who are (is) Clatterbox? It's so nice and LOUD. And another question: who is Cabbage Boy? (reminds me of Basic Channel, but then a bit wilder :-)) Right. Time to play my Refried 1 to 6 again ... This Squarepusher person has me entranced. Helen

Mmm, good point. Here's a mini: Twenty inches of slammin funky stuff. Really tight and spiky, ranging from crunchy P-funk to rapid electro. Never a dull moment and no time to settle down, as most of the (15) tracks are under 4 minutes long. Reading this list, sometimes it looks like you guys are making new terms with every post. Anyway, what's P-funk ?! snowjob@actcom.co.il The Morpheus Equation: Start + Middle + End = Sand

I can relate to the "new term" comment. Everytime I read a new post, it seems that there is another psuedo-term I have to figure out, but that's half the fun anyway! But, P-Funk. Remember George Clinton? Parliament Funkadelic? P-Funk for short... Relaxed tempo funky techno. One of my favorites. The production is magnificent -- "easy does it" packs quite a punch on a good sound system.

um...yeah. I don't know what you like but it is a cool record on it's own terms. If you think anything more straight ahead than autechre is boring, this will bore you. If you love jungle, but hate techno, don't buy it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Psyche manifests as psychic through something we call 'winding', because it twists, and puts things that were far apart next to each other, complicatedly, taffywise." -- winona on channel 78 Kent Williams kent@inav.net -- http://soli.inav.net/~kent
