YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES I just checked the orbital WWW pages (http://www.rise.co.uk/orbital/) and they have posted the tour dates. I'll include them here just 'coz I'm bored and the next bus home from work isn't for 30mins. Lucky you eh? ;-). Are we sitting comfortably ... then we'll begin.... Wednesday - 01 May - Wolverhampton - Civic Hall Thursday - 02 May - Liverpool - Mountford Hall Friday - 03 May - Dublin - The Point Sunday - 05 May - Brighton - Centre Monday - 06 May - St Austell - Coliseum Tuesday - 07 May - Leicester - De Montford Hall Thursday - 09 May - London - Royal Albert Hall Friday - 10 May - Sheffield - Octagon Centre Saturday - 11 May - Cambridge - Corn Exchange Sunday - 12 May - Glasgow - Barrowlands Monday - 13 May - Edinburgh - Usher Hall Tuesday - 14 May - Newcastle - Mayfair Wednesday - 15 May - Manchester - Apollo And the blurb..... ----- This tour is different to previous ones because many of the venues for the tour have been specially chosen becase they are partially seated (though the Royal Albert Hall will be all seated) and on the majority of dates Orbital will be onstage at around 8.45pm. Tickets for all shows will be ?10.00 in advance apart from the Royal Albert Hall which will be ?10.00, ?12.50 and ?15.00. In the meantime, the Hartnolls will be previewing some of their new material when they play Leeds Metropolitan as part of the Sound City event on April 12th. This show is part of the John Peel evening and will be broadcast live on Radio One. Orbital are due onstage around midnight. ----- Anybody know how to get UK Radio One in Cork (Ireland)????? -- David Knowles, "If I stand on my tippy-toes, Motorola ECID, I can almost reach the ceiling" Cork, Ireland. -Anon. +353-21-511310

That's De Montfort Hall. Just so you know. I get pissed off seeing it spelt wrong all the time, being a Leicester man myself. ObIDM (well almost) I was thinking last night, after sampling a little of something the government tells me I shouldn't, about the statement Seofon made, that for most people, music is disposeable entertainment. By contrast, for me, music is something which should be experienced every day. It doesn't look as good in print as it did in my head last night, but hey that's THC for you :) Last night, I experienced Davy Jone's Locker from the new System 7 LP, and the track which follows it, then the 40 minute version of Blue Room, and Namlook/Atmo's Silence, which are two of my favourite recordings of all time.
