Just a plea to those of you who will sell your '95 Mercedes for an out of print CD.... Don't. Check around the UK/US shops first. Bug Watts & other distributors to see if they have some of this stuff just sitting there collecting dust first. Tag Records has tunnnnzzzz of old shit(tag@tagrecords.co.uk), look around, do some homework, and just plain "get off your ass & hunt" for that limited edition of 3 Aphex Twin:"Unplugged at Buckingham Palace" quadpack album!!!!(Just kiddin' about the Aphex Twin, folks...Gotta put that in there so me mail won't be flooded!) As far as bootlegging goes. Don't. If you become famous off of someone else's work, your work gets less credibility, and you'll be haunted the rest of your life... It's an unavoidable temptation, especially if you got yerself the 5,000 dollar Marantz CD recorder on the market now, to bootleg, but do your own shit! Who knows, someone may be bootlegging you! Where would you be then? Derek

Depends on how long it's been since the tunes came out! I do see your point that since they aren't coming up with any new ideas, stagnant musicians/labels might feel the need to protect their old ones. eric p.s. Look at FAX, They're taking all this bootleg talk as a democratic vote to reissue. Smart move by them on behalf of their artists, since, presumably, the labels are here to get the music out to people who want to hear it. Better the music-maker gets the money than some Record Swap collector/dealer profiteer.
