Hi Hi... What are some of the more interesting newsgroups for those in search of postings with intelligent music content. The b*($#&t that appears on alt.rave or alt.music.techno are beyond tolerable. Anyone? Teep

rec.music.ambient is my newsgroup of choice. Despite crosspostings between alt.music.techno, some of the classical newsgroups, and rec.music.industrial, it's a pretty keen place for information and reviews. The abundance of playlists from college/public radio shows is a plus. alt.binaries.sounds.erotica.idm is something I'd still like to see. .grant .http://delta.is.tcu.edu/~ghhorne .kinky.afro

The terms "newsgroup" and "intelligent music content" have long since become mutually exclusive concepts. (That said, the s/n ratio in rec.music.ambient seems better than most.) - Greg

are there any "interesting" newsgroups? From my last surfing of these newsgroups, you have everything from mad pervs to "i saw a ufo, and I got pregnant" type people. alt.music.techno is the pits! What is techno? Who's the best? Come on, people! can YOU say "alt.get.rid.of.unnecessary.crap.newsgroups.now.html?" Derek
