If the new Orb album is due in August/September instead of May as reported in Melody Maker or NME (which was it :) ) I wouldn't be suprised. These are the same people who told us the full length Plug album would be out in Janurary and that the new Electronic single would be out in November!! As for a double or triple CD of Orb releases, this sounds absolutely fantastic. I have a bootleg titled simply 'Orb' on the cover over a picture of the full moon that has a bunch of remixes of a Huge and Ever Growing brain, the first Orb ep (sounds very bizzare), a mix of perpertual dawn, and a mix of Little Fluffy Clouds. Does anyone else have this? I have seen several other Orb bootlegs of live shows and remixes, but this looked the most interesting. BTW, the Huge and Ever Growing Brain remixes, some of them at least, are called Orbital Mixes. Is this simply a name or is this the work of P&P Hartnoll? -Fresh P.S. does anyone know of any other other IDM bootlegs, i.e. Orbital, Aphex, FSOL? ========================================================================= Fullerton College claims no responsibility to the opinion expressed above (This is an automatic stamp from our Email system and not from the user.) =========================================================================

"Orbital" mixes were what the Orb called their mixes for awhile. I would imagine they quit around the time Orbital the band was getting popular. Then they changed the names of their remixes to Aubrey Mixes (English pronunciation of "Orb Remixes." I've got that bootleg. Haven't seen it anywhere again. I LOVE the Perpetual Dawn mix. Surreal Sound, the now defunct Dutch mag was distributing mixtapes of some unrelased material from Black Dog, Ramjac & some other Detroit artists, perhaps someone on the list has a copy??? Derek
