Check it out.... Friday, 1 March 6 p.m. PST DJ Derrick May in Feedback "Techno was good when it started. But it's gotten bad and I hope it gets better ... but it won't." - Derrick May Perhaps you remember Derrick May's "Rhythim is Rhythim," one of the most influential and frequently sampled albums of early techno? One of the founding fathers of this decisively postmodern form, May has chosen to remain silent for years and stay out of the studio: "It's been hard not putting a record out ... but I told myself I wasn't going to get caught up in this bullshit scene." Finally, this pioneer of technoshamanic riddims has returned. Join us for a very special Feedback event on Friday, 1 March from 6 to 8 p.m. PST (Saturday, 02:00 GMT), to chat with May about his thoughtful reexamination of electronic music, and hear him spin an hour-and-a-half set from the HotWired studios. http://www.hotwired.com/club/

Whoever wrote this obviously doesn't, since Rhythim Is Rhythim isn't an album, and Derrick's never even released an album.

He's avoiding bullshit scenes by doing a SYBURCHAT on Club Hotwired? Sheesh! C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker)
