I heard it was going to be a Peel Session, but I could be mistaken. I saw
them live last June, and though I like (not love) Orbus Terrarum, and love
their other three albums, the concert really made me wish they'd put out a
new live album featuring the massive duuby dance grooves they featured in
their live set.
Hopefully this effort will be in this vein, or close to it, anyway.
Subject: (idm) Brand Spanking new Orb Album in May...From:

I don't know how many of you have heard this news yet, but for those
that haven't The Orb is going to release a new album in May, supposedly
much more Trancey and faster than Orbvs Terrervm. This info is from
either NME, or Melodey Maker (I forget which), but its pretty damn
exciting news. Hopefully The Orb will rediscover the beat like FSOL did
on ISDN and take a break from the ambient musings of their last album.
Although nobody does it better, its time The Orb tried something a
little different and finally break out with some hard beats becuase it
often seems like they're holding back on their albums.
