I remember watching a video of The Who whereupon Pete Townsend something to the effect that he would be dead by the age of 50 (mind you, this is an interview VERY early on in the career of The Who). Many years later, the producers of the video played the interview back to Pete. His reaction? "WOT?!?" I'm not old, I was just born before most of you... An elderly friend and myself [:)] went absolutely nuts after getting to hear "Time Space Transmat", "Planet Rock", "Tour De France", "Rockit", and "Numbers", alongside some newer Ectomorph and RAC tracks, in quick succession. Of course, the highlight was hearing one 16-year-old say to the kid standing next to him "This is what I think they call 'old-school'" (you could hear the quotation marks in his voice.) I felt like whipping out the Geritol. :/ On the plus side, another group of teenagers were spotted on another part of the floor breakdancing. I wonder where they picked it up...

This old fart is 42 and loving all this new music. I've been to various dance events, and I get some curious looks, but I keep on groovin' to the tunes--who cares about "The Scene?" I'm in it for my enjoyment of the music . . . Technology has finally caught up with the sounds I've been resonating to for the last 42 years. Woo Woo!! Bob

Does any body else find it really weird that most popular music is made by people who seem to be about 10-20 years older than the average listener? Does this mean that, except for wonderful exceptions like Nanette, we are all pretty much behind the times? __karl

Hey Karl, I'm starting to feel about 10-20 years older than the average listener. ;P Dale On now: Autechre/Amber ---I already put all three CDs on tape for my car so I can drive in peace..... ____________________________________________ it is good . . . we are saved.
