Adding to what CiM said - I saw them live at the Phoenix festival last summer, but I haven't heard a lot of their recorded stuff. Orbital isn't the first comparison that springs to mind - they're harder in general, pretty standard Megadog crusty techno. Nothing that stands out... Stacey Pullen - I (finally) got hold of the Silent Phase album last week, having already bought the 'Psychotic Funk' single. Anyone else notice that the tracklisting on the single seems to have been completely cocked up? 'Psychotic Funk' on the single is actually 'Spirit Of Sankofa' on the album. *And*, there was some confusion as to what speed it was played on - we decided 45 to fit the time given (although it sounded a bit too fast), but on the CD it sounds like the vinyl on 33. So they've got the labelling mixed up on the single, it should be: A (33rpm): Psychotic Funk 7.35 Waterdance 7.40 B (33rpm): Spirit Of Sankofa 12.08 Sorry, just had to share this with everyone... :) see ya _________________________________________________ tom churchill e-mail: tom@chrchfam.demon.co.uk electronichouseytechnoidjazzjungletriphopbeathead dj/musician/clubber/reviewer...scene but not herd _________________________________________________
