here's some stuff i've picked up which will go over well w/ most of you:
muslimgauze-bandit queen ep
this has two remixes courtesy of panasonic/sahko. the panasonic
mix is excellent. it reminds me of the atomit 12" or the upo-moor ep on
UPO. the muslimgauze tracks, well they sound like muslimgauze. isn't that
good enough?
robots & humanoids ep on alphaphone
rumored to be mr. r.h.kirk. it sure sounds like his touch. if you
like all the variety of the sandoz, sweet exorcist, etc.... check this out.
i love how "paranoia" starts as something that would make you think it was
a chill out tune, and then a couple minutes latera bongo break-loop noodles
it's way in. there was another one released on this label this week called
chemical agent, but i didn't think it was as good.
gescom-motor ep
all 4 tracks (motor 1-4) seem to borrow themes or patterns from eachother.
motor2 is worth the price of this alone. if i had heard this before i knew
what it was, i would have thought this was on bunker/interferrence. that
would explain the thick black vinyl in a plastic sleeve design of this
release.
i didn't really like the real life ep on ntone. the vocals on two of the
tracks were horrendous. i think these were mixes of an older track of
theirs. it sure sounds dated. approach with caution.
the new ebi 12" and cd are both excellent. i don't remember most of the
kirlian album, but i know i liked some of it.
