A friend of mine rang me up yesterday looking for suggestions of IDM-ish videos to put on a programme on a certain cable-based television channel. I ran through some of my favourite artists and labels but I have no idea who out of these have actually made videos. She was really in a rush so I didn't have time to help her properly. Can anyone enlighten me and help improve the IDM-ratio on broadcast TV? Thanks adam P.S. Possibly this isn't the place to ask, but I am looking for a new turntable. This is an opportunity to get some pitchable decks - should I take the plunge rather than settling for the average Hi-Fi separates affair? I should point out that I can't afford to get a pair of Technics so it would have to be cheap imitations, and this is for my own "enjoyment" rather than professional use. When I have made a purchase I'll be able to comment on some of my recent purchases (i.e. there's lots of stuff I haven't been able to play yet). Thanks again

808 State have at least two more videos than Pacific. I saw them on Much Music's Spotlight in the summer of 1991. Couldn't tape em though. Damn! They also have a "concert Video" from the same era but it is unavailable or at least through my sources. Dave. PS Just picked up Beaumont Hannant's Psi-Onyx this morning. Excellent! Especially track 3 - the Autechre mix.

More video talk :- I was on a plane (Virgin) to America recently, and you know how Virgin have little TV's for each person, well, while we were waiting to go instead of horrible muzak and cheesy shots of aeroplanes they were playing Leftfield and St. Etienne and showing X-mix style computer graphics. If this goes on maybe they'll rip out the seats, put bean bags in and have full on chill out plane rides... Cheers Andrew C.
