I just picked up two cool new releases on the Sublme label.
The releases, one by Flare (Ken Ishii) and the other by a
group called Prism, are both excellent.
The Flare release "Reference to Difference" is softer and
more experimental than his recent "Jelly Tones" release on
R&S. Nine beautiful tracks of mid-tempo techno. Highly
recommended.
The Prism release "Metronome Melody" is a bit more eclectic
than the Flare. Ranging in styles from techno, house, jungle
to ambient, Prism delivers twelve quality tracks of electronic
music. To me, the Prism release reminded me of much of Dan
Curtain's material, which is a compliment in my book.
If anyone is interested, I got both the aforementioned releases
at Bent Crayon (bcrayon@en.com) and there were a few left when
I was there last night.
Hope that helps!
