I suggest Deep Grooves right down the street from Vintage -- their
selection of ambient/idm is probably not as extensive as their selection
of house, but it's still a decent store. While you're there, talk to Bob
Lynn (he used to spin regularly when St Louis still had chill rooms) or
Lance (he brought in Mixmaster Morris last year) -- both are really nice
guys.
As far as clubs go, I hear there's a new club called ultrasound run by
Alexis Tucci (sp?) who is aka That Girl Productions. They should be able
to tell you more at Deep Grooves.
