Does anyone in the US know if Motion (the Warp AI Video) was every released in America, or failing that if it was/is distributed and where it can be obtained. I've got a copy and i think it's really cool, but apparently it's hard to get in the US? Thanks in advance, Nick.

It's by no means hard to obtain. Wax Trax/TVT Records sells these things through mailorder by the ton. Its always been available domestically, but when I got my copy, Warp still didn't have it in the 3/4'' VHS format available for distribution in the US, but a good friend in Canada was able to get it for me. A decent first effort for Warpvision, but I can't wait to be blown away by the Aphex/Stakker video coming soon! Derek

I'm not in the US so I can't help you there, but maybe you can help me :) What's on the video? (both audio & video-wise) You've already said it's cool so I won't ask you what you think about it, but if anybody else has it, second opinions are welcome! Don't think I much recommend it. The music is nice but the video gets boring really quick. I think that if you had a large projection screen and lots of drugs it could be cool but just to pop it in and watch it. I'll analyze it this way, listening to music excites the brain and moves the body, but it has little or no need for spatial reference. Video on the other hand requires specific focused concentration. So if the images don't hold your undivided attention, as when you are surrounded by them on a large screen, or involved in them in a plot sense, one can be quickly bored. I think it is well worth seeing for yourself, but owning this to play over and over is not required. I do recommend the ORB's long form video form because it uses the mixer,s aesthetic in video, taking the best tricks and dropping them in at just the right time. The soundtrack is excellent too.
