I think when Syzygy was mentioned originally it was concearning the Japanese record label Syzygy records, who've just had their sixth vinyl release in japan. Syzygy records started life with a compilation album called 'Believe in the frequency power' an album featuring Mind design..infact the title Track off their 'Welcome to neo-tokto' 12" originally released on sublime and later release on Generator Detroit. The comp 'believe in the frequency power' has been released in the uk by North and south records. All the artists are from the Japanese underground techno scene. As for Syzygy..(on Rising high....) I don't remember them getting ambient, but i don't remeber hearing stuff from them for a while. Terminus was released on Technovisions one, along with hardfloors 'Acperience' which now seems to be on nearly all the retro house mixes (and nearly everywhere else), and a good ongaku track. Bye for now, Nick.

I just checked out "interchangeable headblock" again and the two c130bpm tracks on it are pretty damn excellent. ones a technoey stompey thing, the other's more idm-ey with breaks, but somehow harks back to early breakbeat rave stuff without being at all cheesy. I wasn't in the mood for the slower track. J ^ James Skilton aka Steady J - steady-j@firefox.co.uk
