sorry, but i feel the need to plug this album as well. i'm afraid that it'll slip through the cracks because it's not really in sync with a lot of what folks on this list are into. it's very different from anything i've heard. it's very hard to classify. that's a good thing. to me it sounds like jazz with some electronic instruments thrown in. the cool thing is that they're original songs, not samples of old jazz tunes, and they manage to work electronics into the composition in a way that really works. it's very mellow (for the most part) so don't think that it's jazz in the acid jazz/trip hop sense. i think these guys are doing things that most artists would be afraid to do. this fusion of jazz and "techno" is becoming much more accepted, but they are two worlds that are usually very far apart. most truelly amazing jazz artists won't have much to do with electronics because they feel that they lack emotion and they're restricting. fortunately there are bands like this one that can use those restriction to their advantage.
