what's up w/ them, i was thinking maybe about getting (some of) these, 1, 2 and (19)75?? just came out. don't know too much about neu tho a friend had an lp years ago that i liked then but wouldn't recognise now. not trying to quibble here, just wondering if suck! means - a) all this great music getting re-issued now has made me a pauper. b) sounds like it was mastered from a cassette of a scratched vinyl copy, that has only now seen the light of day after spending 20 years in a badgers set. c) neu are now and always have been rubbish. d) it can be used like a vacuum cleaner to remove dirt from a rug. thanks -martin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

er, i didn't say they sucked, thomas said the re-issues sucked, and as i was thinking of buying one of them, i wanted to know exactly how they sucked, to make it easy i made it multiple choice, and to fool trainspotters used some humour. without warning too. anyway he said its a crappy recording, and the vinyl is better ... but as the vinyl is oop, and not minding crappily recorded krautrock enough to have loads of fall cds, i still would like to pick one up. so out of the three recently released sucky! neu! (catchy! heh!) re-issues 1, 2, and 75 (what happened to #'s 3-74?), which is the best? but seriously, first post in six months and flames already?

well i was going to flatter them and mention mouse on mars and the fall, but bowie - the bandwagon jumper who fell to earth and became tin machine? -martin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

you apparently didnt read my clarification...i didnt mean the band sucked, i meant the re-issues sucked...there's no point in reissuing seminal records without some remastering....

yes,,,but the clarity of the surface noise on the vinyl is totally missing on the cd...soundz like sludge... tom w np: substancia 2 ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
