This CD is one of the best Jazz comps I ever heard, every song is mesmerizing! Another good one has just been released, it called "Tone Dialing" by Ornette Coleman and Prime Time. Electronics, free jazz, hip-hop(but Jazz hip-hop, e.g. not like Guru). If you think some Aphex Twin or Autechre is musically and rythmically challenging check this CD out. Agreed, I also got this one - from Tampere City Library, would you believe! ;) There's among all my old favourite "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane, and also a great version by his widow, Alice Coltrane, which wouldn't sound out of place at all on any Mo' Wax release - like many other pieces here. It's amazing how familiar a lot of this stuff actually sounds, maybe thanks to many aforementioned Mo' Wax's releases, which utilize (and even maybe sample?) the same kind of mellow jazzy/ambientish soundspaces, as the artists above. Certainly makes me want to check out more stuff from these names... :) ObIDM: are you kidding! ;)
