I miss some of the greatest records released last time on the net. So here we go: # Tricky - Punpkin - 12" - 4th & broadway # Lemon D - Urban Flava pt 1 - 12" - Metalheadz # L.S.Diezel - Secret Mexian Trance - 12" - Mass of Black # Gregory Fleckner Quintet - A gentle introduction to.. - 12" - Clear # Tan Ru - Purple Heart - 12" - Trelik # Midnight Funk Essentials - Firescratch - 12" - Mo Wax Excursions # Beaumont Hannant - Notions of tonality - 12" - General Prod. # Solo & Aura - Take Heed - 12" - Mo Wax Excursions # Gregory Fleckner Quintet - Monkey Boots - CD - Clear What to say: Beaumont Hannant & GPR strike back after to many weak releases.. Listen esspecially the a-side.. beautiful.. Tan Ru got the fire burning with on side b the greatest track in a Broom mix and the orginal. If you don't like the orginal, you're a loser! The Mo Wax releases (can) go together with the box.. which is about $ 20, for the box.. You also got to pay for the record in it! The GFQ album goes very deep and takes a while to really get into.. The Plaid mix at the GFQ 12" is great! Hopefully back on track.. on now: Eon - Spice (Hi Power Mix by Juan Atkins) || Peel Seamus - e-mail: m.w.j.vanderwielen@student.utwente.nl ||

Ok - quick question regarding the MoWax Excursions into Techno -- I got the first twelve inch ( David Caron's Fantasy on a Fantasy ) but never saw any of the other releases in the series - although I did hear a rumor that the second release is Io's Claire? Is this true and how far is the series up to at the moment?? Cheers, John!

Yep indeed, they're up to number three now which came out on Monday (with a 'limited edition' box just to charge you 7 quid for the record!!). Fantasy On A Fantasy was actually the 2nd release in the techno excursions but the sticker was wrong on the 12". the first 12" was IO (aka Patrick Pulsinger) and Claire/Libre. The third 12" is Midnight Funk Association and a four track 12" 'firecracker' who is Mark Broom and someone else (i forget). All three releases have been 'okay' but havent really impressed me as much as the main Mo' Wax releases have recently. The three excursions into hip-hop have in my opinion been of better standard althoguh the latest by Solo & Aura is more of an excursion into jungle. Full track listings etc. are on my web pages: http://www.warwick.ac.uk/~esvtk/mowax/ cheers martin Hydrogen Dukebox Mo' Wax Org Records Sabres Of Paradise |------------------------------------------------------------------| |THE | The finest | http://www.warwick.ac.uk/~esvtk/ | | SPOON | discographies|------------------------------------| | WEB | on the Web(?)| e-mail : esvtk@csv.warwick.ac.uk | |------------------------------------------------------------------| Done Lying Down Gunshot Eskimos & Egypt Sleeper

The Mo Wax excursions are into techno and into hip hop.. Altough if you listen it's more jungle, or ambitechno, or ambient, or trip hop.. here we go: Mo Wax Exc. #1 (Hip Hop) can't remember some boys from Denmark with regular trip hop.. Mo Wax Exc. #2 (Techno) Io - Claire Mo Wax Exc. #3 (Hip Hop) Old Scotish which is Howie B. + + Mo Wax Exc. #4 (Techno) David Caron (with wrong sticker) Mo Wax Exc. #5 (Hip Hop) Solo & Aura (which is 3 times jungle) Mo Wax Exc. #6 (Techno) Midnight Funk Ess. = Mark Broom + Dave Hill they go up to 10.. Of both two to go.. #5 and #6 are also available with (resp. hiphop and techno) box.. || Peel Seamus - e-mail: m.w.j.vanderwielen@student.utwente.nl ||
