u-ziq ~ Dauphine (Astralwerks LTD 1500 promo 12")
I would like to introduce you all to my new girl friend, Dauphine.
She's a one sided 12" promo tramp working the streets for the
Astralwerks crew in support of the Bay City Roller, Mike Paradinas (AKA
Kid Spatula). I'm not certain if this is a direct taste of the
impending brilliance that will be _In Pine Effect_, but I'm positive
it's a taste of the u-ziq supernova in FULL Effect. Dauphine's aim is
true. She's got it all in that intellectualsexy funky state which
distinguishes Mike's earliest pleasures. A hydrophiltered and wiped
down out of the tub clean giggling break loop is perked up by pumping
low end. She's drip dried and dressed in a nostalgic cheery melody.
DAMN, a sound for sore ears. Paradinas again titillates in that musical
midway where the freewheeling abandon of an adolescent and an adult
sized vibe coexist. That's my girl! [5/5]
