Hey my IDM brothers and sisters, I will be visiting SoCal in January and I will be moving there in August of 96. Does anyone have any recommendations of some kick ass CD shops for me to check out. I now live in Boulder,CO, where the infamous Nathan Jentz at Albums Up got me hooked on IDM, but where am I to go when I return to Cali. Last time I went there (a year ago) all I found where shops that catered to the Raver/DJ crowd.Yuck! I want IDM damn it, help me find it in SoCal. Thanks, GMV500 Oh yeah, You want a cool WEB site? try http://www.csd.net/~albumsup.-that is where the infamous Nathan Jentz works. Last time I was there they still had a bunch of copies of AFX H.A.B. get one while they last!

Aron's on Highland Avenue in Hollywood, just north of Santa Monica Blvd. benefits from having one of the most kick-ass ambient/electro/drum and bass/ Detroit/trance/acid/acid jazz/trip hop/etc/etc/etc buyer known to man plus slightly cheaper prices than the other stores in the area. Definitely check it out! ____ Hug Your Waistline to the Bassline Tamara Palmer trance@netcom.com Women Respond to Bass

Having been in LA last week to kick off the Chemical Brothers tour, I took a break from being mired in SoCal scene politics for two days to run out record shopping for an hour. I walked out with the new Ken Ishii 12", John Beltran's LP on R&S (which I've been searching for on vinyl in NYC for months!), the Vulva LP on Rephlex and some new Detroit gems and some mint old Eno vinyl and at better prices than in NY! A must! Peter Wohelski Astralwerks Recordings
