To: idm@hyperreal.com i got 2 drexicya ep's today (record time mail order): bubble metropolis deep sea dweller is this reflective of their material? is there any 12" that is quite exceptional that i should have? otherwise i'm rather satisfied with these. wikked detroit techno. i was rather amused that the second side of deep sea dweller spins from the inside out! finally tracked down the jedi knights 12" in a very house record store (mostly gay house at that) but i have it. pretty much an essential purchase for anyone who likes global comm's stuff in my opinion. also, on the "ventolin" tip, i was not very impressed by this. a remark that sire labeled it the wrong speed prompted me to listen at 45 and i realize it must be a 45 record. they messed up. i have the domestic issue i might add. are they going to release the remix 12" as well or must i track down an import? i am going to give the remix 12" and the new album a chance, but if he fails i will no longer pick up AFX out of habit. and last but not least, one excellent 12" is sitting at probably any record store and is worth listening to..."inner city life" by metalheads. futuristic jungle on the chilled but still lethal tip. the roni size mix is fabulous and the 4 hero mix is one incredible trip thru the phuture sounds of jazz. it's got vocals too, just to warn anyone who may not like that sort of thing, on a few of the mixes. really nice. i can't wait for the album. p.s. tower will have this filed in the rap section under goldie cos they are idiots.

Ventolin is at best 'interesting' and 'ground breaking'; at worst, boring, noisy shite. The remixes are a /bit/ more palatable. _I care because you do_ is *very* different to Ventolin. If I could compare it to any of his previous works I guess it would be SAW1 (which should please lots of people :). But with more strings/beats/and care taken over production. greg The Official WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html
