Just been listening to the most stunning new music since _Tango'n'Vectif_. Dunno who it's by, what label it's on, or anything. All I know is that the artist is called 'T Power'. A friend acquired it from a journalist. The sound is the first true synthesis of techno and jungle. It is clearly jungle. It is clearly techno. It's clearly fucking amazing. So who is this T Power character? The rumour from the journalist was that he'd been signed to a major. Major's don't generally sign newbies, so who is T Power? All I can tell you is it's not RDJ! :) My guess is it's someone like LTJ Bukem. I need to know!!! One track that stood out uses an Apollo sample "Tranquility". g The WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html

It's a guy called Mark Royal. Definitely one of the main characters on this so-called "intelligent" jungle scene. Journalists seem to like him a lot as I've seen quite a few articles about him in the music press. I think it's because they feel they must write about jungle, but they can't really handle the "street flava". So here is a guy that is very intellectual, speaks a lot about musical theory, makes a concept album with a long pretentious name and likes Vangelis and Future Sound Of London. Aahhh... they're home again. It's the good old IDM backyard. - chris@minsk.docs.uu.se <http://www.update.uu.se/~chris/>
