Hello all, Here are some reviews of recently bought records: 1. Philorene (Organico records) A new group, formed by David Barratt and Elliot Sharp, and it comes from Chcago. This is acrossover between trip-hop and jungle. It all sounds good, but there are not many surprises. There are two tracks in two versions on it, and the jungle mixes are the most interesting ones. 2. Ectomorph (interdimensional transmissions) This one should carry the "electro inside" logo! It sounds very rough at times, and is pretty in-your-face electro. Very nicely done by my good friend BMG from Detroit. Nice one! There might be some ingflunces from Drexcya, but that is a benefit, and for the DJs among us their are two endless loops on the record as well.... 3. Aquarius - drift to the centre (Looking Good records) A two track jungle record, and a good one it is! My favourite is Wave Forms on the B-side, which flows naturalkly from pure drum-n-bass to more atmospheric parts and even clubby parts. The other side is less surprising, but very well produced and very playable. it is looking good.... 4. TPower - Turquoise A new release by the infamous Tpower. Turquoise is ofcourse a jungle track, and does the job properly. On the other side is the mutant remix - rollers instinct, which is more interesting. Very rough on the edges, which some pretty uncultivated samples and basssounds. The bass that comes in at a certain point is great, it reminded me a biyt of the early detroit days as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------- * / | EEVO LUTE MUZIQUE EEVO LUTE MUZIQUE * * / | Stefan Robbers P.O.
