He is 1/2 of Sweet Exorcist (the other half being Mr. Richard Kirk alias Cabaret Voltaire, Sandoz, Electronic Eye, etc.). Barratt is credited on both Sweet Excorcist records. I know he must have other work somewhere. Any answers would be greatly appreciated... Also just to make the chase interesting I have seen his name mispelled as DJ Parrott. Thank you boys... Gordon

DJ Parrot is not a misspelling. DJ Parrot is a Sheffield DJ who pops up now and again at Sheffield clubs. He is associated with Winston Hazel. As in 'Winston and Parrot'. Barratt was involved with two early WARP project. Principally with 'Sweet Exorcist', but also as a member of 'The Step'. Winston Hazel was also involved is this project. They had one release on WARP, _Yeah You_ WAP8/WAP8R/WAP8CD. It also appears on the first WARP compilation _Pioneers Of the Hypnotic Groove_ WARP CD2. I will try to find out what he's doing now. g3 g The WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html

Further info. As I thought, but wasn't sure about at the time (mis-information being a *bad* thing :) ... Richard Barratt = DJ Parrot. And he's doing a party at the Leadmill, Sheffield this week if anybody's interested :). He also remixed with Mark Brydon for the DJ Mink project (WAP4). g3 g The WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html
