Subject: (idm) Electro Boogie on K7
And more spcifically does anyone have an Anthony Rother Discography URL? His 2
tracks plus the Little Computer People Project track makes this cd worth its
weight in gold.

I can't help you with all the specifics on dates, but I can make a small
recommendation - if you dig Rother, he just put out another 12" called "Don't
Stop the Beat" on his PSI49NET label. Excellent, gritty tough electro with a
jerky vocoder bit over the top. Way ahead of the rest of the electro I've been
hearing lately. Mildly annoying b/c the 12" only has the *one* track, but like
three versions of it - reg, instrumental, bonus beats (kind of a cop-out if you
ask me) - but it is a good track in itself. I don't have a Rother discog, but
these are must-haves from Rother in my book:
- Anthony Rother "Sex With The Machines"12" (PSI49NET)
- Anthony Rother "Redlight District" 12" (Electrolux)
- Anthony Rother "Trans-Europa Express" 12" (PSI49NET)
- Sven Vath "Schubduse" (Rother rmx.) off Space Night Vol. 4 comp. (?, can't
remember the label though!)
He also does minimal techno, but I haven't heard anything in this vein so I
can't vouch. But as far as electro goes, these are safe bets IMHO. Enjoy...Brock
P.S. Another recommendation - DJ Hell's "Suicide Commando" 12", maybe on his
"Munich Machine" LP as well. Garbled divebomb electro that sounds like some kind
of mash-up between I-f and the Octagon Man. This one rocks the bassbins like no
other!
