1. Is the "brown album" properly titled Orbital 2 or is this just an American title offered by FFRR or someone? I ask because so often I hear people outside the US refer to it as "the brown album". 2. Does Halcyon+On+On belong on the disc or is it a bonus track? 3. Can someone please post/send details on the new (upcoming?) singles comp on FFRR, or have I misread somewhere? Thanks, e

As far as I know the album was only titled "Orbital". I guess calling it "Orbital II" or "Brown Album" makes things easier to some record retailers and buyers...

It belongs to the disk.

And finally, two Orbital questions of my own: 1) Which early Orbital song/mix has the sample "I have seen the future and I can't afford it/In fact, sir, someone just bought it" (or something like that)? I've never heard that one myself... 2) Has Internal finally republished those early Orbital singles on CD, and are there any vinyls scheduled? I haven't seen them so far here in Finland... What you have probably heard and what sounds totally fucking amazing late night is the ABC track mixed over the top of Belfast sends shivers down your spine peace john ________________________________________________________________________ The power of the dance is a dangerous power. I'm not sure that Orbital sampled that, (did they, anyone??) but the original you referring to is from the A.B.C. track "How to be a Zillionaire" (early 80's UK dance-pop) I fondly remember late night Detroit DJ's hot-mixing the shit out of this A.B.C. track... right alongside 'Planet Rock,' 'White Horse,' 'No UFO's' and Twilight 22's 'Electric Kingdom'.' Kind of funny, eh? :) ________________________________________________________________________ Matt MacQueen (Rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated). macqueen@pilot.msu.edu ________________________________________________________________________

Actually, Orbital did sample this on one of their records. They used that sample in the song "Omen", from the 12" of the same name. If Orbital is rereleasing Satan and Midnight, why don't they rerelease the Omen 12" and the Omen remixes 12" as well? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ''J''O''H''N'''''''R''I''C''K''M''A''N'''''''''''''''''''''''' jknee@gwis2.circ.gwu.edu On Fri, 29 Sep 1995, Matt MacQueen wrote: (IN RESPONSE TO QUESTION #1)

Not at all funny, once you realize that Keith LeBlanc drummed on the ABC track! C. OnNow: Tackhead - 'Power Inc. Vol 2' -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker) "I feel like I'm being electrocuted."

Bzzzzt. It is "The Omen" from their 12" of the same name. It is one thing that hasn't be rereleased (yet).
