Hi Simon. Nice to have you back :) Freeform is fucking amazing. SKAM 004 ep is well worth aquiring and his Elastic Speakers album on Wormhole records is alsoi excellent but you might find this difficult to find as it hasn't been released fully yet. I met the guy Simon Pyke at the Decadog last Friday. Pretended to be like his Number 1 fan, after his mate primed me... you should have seen the grin on his face :) He's very young, maybe 16/17!! Steve at Warp is *very* impressed so he might be appearing on Warp soon(?) Did you get my review of the new AFX on WARP? Place your orders now... I'll send you the details if necessary! BTW I am now no longer at Newcastle - In fact I'm sat at home listening to Mind over rhythm meets the men from plaid on the planet luv (essential!), so note new address. My warp pages are about to move to a new location (I'm working more or less full time for warp now!) so keep your eyes peeled. That was quite a bunch of tunes you reviewed there. Sigh, I have the same (nice) problem at the moment. About 40 singles/LPs all unreviewed... Keep in touch greg g The WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html

Agreed, these releases ARE amazing - but I've had _elastic speakers_ on CD for at least two months. If it hasn't been fully released, then I must have been super lucky to pick this up by accident in the States. :) I believe it's on worm *interface*. And I think the EP is better. --j -- auricle@io.com

I suppose I got my answer before I asked the question. I saw this thingy on the cdeurope database and was wondering if it really was "Plaid." While there, I spied a new comp titled "Modern Electronics vol.1". Anyone heard of this? Looks like I'll be placing an order tonight. jmar! How about a tracklist/review of this? Anyone know if the CD version differs in anyway, track-wise, from the 4x10" version? - Matthew
