I am very glad this subject came up! I was remarking to fellow IDM'er Kathleen Vershek a few months ago about this, and never got around to making a post. I am working with a female now on a project, and she's been into IDM since I discovered "A.I." She just doesn't have a clue about the internet. I always encourage her to read idm posts, but we never get around to doing it. There are female artists out there in IDM, trust me, but they're working under "masculine" pseudonyms because of the lack of broadminded people... More on this project/collaboration in '96! What a brutal rip off though, she didn't just sample it, she just sang over the whole track, even sang some of the original lyrics...bleeeech!!!
