*Who* is/are Goldie? I've seen several reviews of this over the last few weeks now, but none have given any clues about the artist. A 20-min piece with "movements" sure doesn't sound like most of the stuff that gets reviewed here -- what's it comparable to? Thanks in advance for any info, and thanks as well to those who posted about Derrick May. It's a shame none of his own albums (as opposed to comps) is in print here.... He's basically the intellijungle man of the hour, so you might make comparisons to A Guy Called Gerald, 4 Hero, and the like - not exactly typical IDM fodder, but we've had a few threads about this sort of stuff lately, and as you might surmise, this stuff does aim towards being more than dancefloor music.

Well, all his Transmat 12"s are still in print, to the best of my knowledge. He never did release any LP's, though. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker) "I feel like I'm being electrocuted."

Just goes to show that those nutty junglists will try anything. I've heard very little since I've not hunted down imports on it. Also very intellijungle is a 12" by LTJ Bukem they've been raving about down at the record shop. I've not bought it yet, but it is absolutely gorgeous. 'Jazzy' in the IDM sense, with those nutty jungle drums. Speaking of Jungle, listen again to the drums in 'Come on you Slags' It's everywhere! You can't escape it!
