X-Mix 4 Dave Angel Mix-CD I haven't given this a complete listen (I was doing laundry when I threw it on) but this soundtrack-to-a-video is definitely something to check out. Being a worker in the Computer Graphics biz, the X-Mix videos don't impress me much, but the music here more than stands on its own. I don't usually do compilations any more (except Trace Europe Express) but the musical choices on this one are exceptionally good -- Lead off cut from Eevolute (!), tracks from Peace Frog (Dan Curtin & St. Vitus Dance), and a wide variety of vinyl only tracks from others, all on the experimental house/techno tip. Definitely worthy of a check-out. The first CD DJ-mix that for me is up there with the teep-tapes! On the DJ-mix subject, if you can find the DJ magazine with either the Ninjatunes or Netwerk features, those DJ mixes are fantastic. Especially the Dave Clark mix of the Netwerk back catalog, which is heavy on the Detroit underground stuff. -- William Shatner+Robert Packwood= Balding guy who can chew scenery with his tongue down your throat. kent.williams@cadsi.com [Kent Williams/CADSI/2651 Crosspark Rd/Coralville IA 52241/(319)626-6700]
