I picked up the new Cliffhanger (Darren Price)- Who's Who?/That's How It Is (Underwater 07). It's pretty much what I expected, nice Detroit influenced tech-house. It's not as good as some of his stuff off "Under The Flightpath" (Novamute), but it's definitely worth a listen. I also picked up Fluxion - Lark/Atlos (Chain Reaction 21) This was some really nice chilled CR. A friend of mine recommended that i check out some Deep Art, which I guess is Andy Hart (a Dj for Clear Records). I heard it's suppose to be kind of dark weird and quirky. Does anyone have any info? I am surprised that not one person has mentioned the Mick Harris/Surgeon release (on Manifold) or the Mick Harris and Neil Harvey (PCM) CD. Both releases looked pretty interesting. I heard the Mick Harris/Neil Harvey was dark drum n bass. Any comments? I have no more info about the person, but I believe the spelling is "Andi Hart", and the record label name is "andihart" (something like that). The 10" I have is a plain white sleeve with a photocopied drawing taped to the front of it. 3 tracks, all of which are indeed dark, weird, and quirky, but are good (one is especially good, and is the last track on a mix set of mine which may finally get put up on the net somewhere).

Deepart is one of the guises of Clear label DJ Andi Hart. Back in 1996 there were three superb Deepart 10"s called Pictured 1-3 on the Deepart label. More recently, Andi Hart has started a new label called Myclonic which has just released their second record this month. I've been told that Andi Hart also had a label some time ago called Andihart which put out 3 or 4 records but, despite rigorous searches, i've been unable to find any of them. All the Andi Hart tracks i have are combination of classic electronica mixed with a little detroit much in the same style of b12 or black dog productions. Clear. Does anyone have something to report (+) or (-) about the existence of the Clear label in 1999? I have heard no news regarding future Clear releases. Ever since The Lithium Project title released in 1998, and the other two P-Vine Japan releases, I have been hoping to see and hear more. I wish I could say "no news is good news" ... but the weeks and months keep going by. A. Hart. I agree, the Andi Hart / Deepart stuff I have heard is great. Jeffrey.

the deep art 10"es and the myclon releases are both available at rush hour in amsterdam, as also andihart (as label) releases, contact rushhour@sonik.demon.nl rushhour also set up distrbution including delsin, nudawn & their own label. their yet untitled label will re-release deep art #1 with two new tracks. & clear is dead out. marsel ____________________________________ forcefield | mindless entertainment http://www.sonik.demon.nl/forcefield
