Yes got the Leaf EP too. Autechre steppin out in effect, with another variation on their established style. I think I mentioned my humble opinion that the DJ Food remix represented for me a bit of a new style for them. Junglistic rhythms and less of their electronic sounds, but still recognisably them. And here in "Bronchusix" things really take a turn for the darkside. Closer in overall sound composition to "Amber", but very dark and moody, like Thomas Koner on steroids. Very distinctive and very wonderful. This is a great EP too, people - I can't for the life of me remember the other tracks or their perpetrators, but every one's a winner! btw any guesses as to what happened to Bronchus 1,3,4 and 5 ? (we have 2,6 and 7 after all) J ^ James Skilton aka Steady J - steady-j@firefox.co.uk

Maybe I missed something... but is this a new Autechre EP called 'Leaf'? Or is it a separate project... or its it a remix of a different band... I'm a fairly hard autechre fan... (though I haven't got the gescom ep) and I'm keen on finding out a little more about this above mentioned disc. It's an EP called "Invisible Soundtracks" on a label called Leaf. 4 tracks, each by a different artist, one of which is the Autechre track I mentioned. I wasn't more explicit 'cos I thought most of this info had already been posted. J ^

Its a various compilation with autechre, a guy from seefeel, someone from slowdive and some other people. I dont have any exact details but all I know is that its damn good. The ep is called Imaginary Landscapes Vol. 1 or something like that, is on the Leaf Label (I guess) and features one Gescome track as well as three other tracks (one by Mark Clifford). There are also 2 Gescom eps on Skam. john Aaron Michelson, he say:

It's not really Autechre though because Gescom is just half of Autechre (Booth) and some other chaps, right? Just checking. It's a great EP though. I hope Leaf puts out more quality material like this one. -robert --> __ _ _ _____ _____ _____ / _\ | || || _ \|_ _|/ _ \ / /_\\ | -- || |_) | _| |_ | (_) | ______________ /______\\____/|_____/|_____|\_____/ ( *electronic* )

Right, it is of course credited to Gescom, not Autechre, but Gescom appears to be Sean Booth and Rob Brown (ie all of Autechre) and whoever else they drag along for the crack. (viz the two EPs on Skam)

I picked up a jungle track a few months back by Boymerang, who just did that Wagon Christ remix, on the Leaf label. I'm assuming these are connected somehow...
